Having talked to BioMed Life Systems about their warrantee - which starts as soon as they sell the unit to the distributor and not when you purchase the unit from the distributor - I was concerned about this since a local medical supply was going to sell me one that had been in their inventory for 2 years already and had been used on a trial basis too. I called before I placed the order to check on this and Cascade was very helpful and called their supplier to find out when the warrantee started. I was amazed how fast it arrived at my door. I was very pleased to call the SN in to BioMed LS and find that the warrantee on the unit I purchased through Cascade was only a couple of days different than my purchase date.
